I’m just now getting a chance to post pictures from my husband’s trip to Copenhagen for the COP15 conference. You’ll see from many of them, except for the inside of the Global Warming Climate Conference<\/a>, how bitter cold it was outside.<\/p>\n

His hotel was right near Tivoli, the famous amusement park and gardens:<\/p>\n

Evidently, eating hot nuts, often found on street stands, is the thing to do in Denmark.<\/p>\n

Luckily he was able to take an excursion to Helsinger<\/a>, which is where Kronborg castle also known as Hamlet’s castle, Elsinor, is located.<\/p>\n

I like how dramatic yet sparsely decorated the interiors are.<\/p>\n

Peter says they are really into Christmas in Denmark and do enjoy decorating for the occasion, but they keep it beautifully simple. A Royal Crest on a family pew in the chapel seems a little out of sync, however, with the austere nature of the rest of the interior decor.<\/p>\n

Sweden is right across the water and reachable by a bridge. These canons happen to face in that direction.<\/p>\n
