The artist shows the affects of filtered glass and stainless steel but more importantly he&#8217;s interested in the &#8220;intersection of nature and science&#8221; and uses five criteria for his &#8220;walk in kaleidoscopes&#8221;: mirrors, light, manipulation of landscape, use of scientific materials and methods, and photographs of Iceland to create a unique experience for each viewer.<\/p>\n<p>2) Pincushion Art:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/07\/dallas-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-301\" title=\"Pincushion to Serve as Fettish by Dorothea Tanning\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/07\/dallas-2-300x247.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/dallas-2-300x247.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/dallas-2.jpg 956w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>at the <a title=\"Center for Creativity post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/?p=293\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Museum of Art<\/a>. They have an ongoing exhibition dedicated to interactive art (see my previous post link). This <a title=\"Artdaily.org post Dallas Art Museum\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artdaily.com\/index.asp?int_sec=2&amp;int_new=24054\" target=\"_blank\">Artdaily.org<\/a> post mentions how materials can have powerful meanings to artists because they bring their own experiences to the work as they manipulate the materials for artistic creation.<\/p>\n<p>3) Tea Bag and Trash Art:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/07\/2517627438_aa00696428-300x201.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303\" title=\"\\\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/07\/2517627438_aa00696428-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This <em><a title=\"An Odd But Elegant Process by Morgan Greenseth\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artculture.com\/reviews\/an-odd-but-elegant-process\" target=\"_blank\">Oddly Elegant Exhibition<\/a> <\/em>took place in Seattle by artist, Tilla Kuenzilli, to demonstrate how artists can use material that have been thrown in the dumpster without much thought. Trash become &#8220;treasure&#8221; so to speak, but I don&#8217;t know if these outfits are all that practical&#8230;and they might get some stares on the street. I really like the warm-colored tone of this piece. Here&#8217;s the story in the UK&#8217;s <a title=\"Telegraph, UK\" href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/newstopics\/howaboutthat\/2454153\/Mona-Lisa-mown-into-suburban-garden-lawn.html\" target=\"_self\">Telegraph<\/a>.
