While walking around Philadelphia we took a few photos worth posting and some of these are from our hotel, Hyatt at The Bellevue at 200 Broad Street. It is an historic building with Old World Charm with a mix of modern interior details.<\/p>\n

Our hotel was wonderful and we just had to get dinner at their Nineteen Restaurant<\/a> before touring. Here’s our view in the dining room. We sat right in front of this large window with a view overlooking the city. The food was exceptional and I’d highly recommend it.<\/p>\n

We then toured most of the murals around our location. It was a challenge to find them at night. I’ll post on this next Mural Monday. Afterward, we toured up and down Broad Street to City Hall and back and really enjoyed the time-sequence, light display. Unfortunately, this is the only family picture we took — those three figures waiting for me in the distance.<\/p>\n

This was the view from our room overlooking an interior courtyard that started on the 12th floor. It had the illusion of an outdoor space. We left our balcony door open so we could hear the fountain below.<\/p>\n

When I think of songs from Philly, I think of Bruce Springsteen but I refuse to play that here. I’m just not a Springsteen fan, so in doing my research for other musical artists from Philly<\/a>, I was surprised to learn that Patti Labelle<\/a> is from this city and she sings the famous Lady Marmalade<\/em> song, which I did not know was the official name of the more popularly known Voulez, Voulez Couchez Avec Moi<\/em> (with some New Orleans mention). Seems pretty perfect to post for Kick Starting the Weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n
