Who knew they&#8217;d be so &#8220;with it!&#8221; I thought this was a clever use of art in advertising and a great advertising campaign. Evidently the <em>Washington Post<\/em> thought so too and wrote about it back in April, in which the Library received much deserved, &#8220;earned&#8221; media attention. What a bonus. I must have been out of town and missed reading that article, but the ads are still up because I bet they are still working. Many travelers notice them everyday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/08\/library-of-congress-metro-ads.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-359\" title=\"library-of-congress-metro-ads. I was always amazed by his <a title=\"FannyFingerpainting @ National Gallery of Art\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nga.gov\/cgi-bin\/pinfo?Object=68433+0+none\" target=\"_blank\">FannyFingerpainting<\/a> &#8212; oil on canvas &#8212; that I passed daily when I worked at the National Gallery of Art. I&#8217;d lose track of time just staring at it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2008\/08\/fannyfingerpainting.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-361\" title=\"fannyfingerpainting by Chuck Close.
