Her choice meeting spot was the <a title=\"Warehouse\" href=\"http:\/\/www.warehousebarandgrill.com\/gallery.html\" target=\"_blank\">Warehouse Restaurant<\/a> in Old Town. I speed-walked to meet them about a mile down the street. The restaurant is a long-time staple in Old Town and has a very New Orleans vibe. The food is great too, which is precisely why Patsie chose it. She&#8217;s my <a title=\"Patsie Uchello\" href=\"http:\/\/patriciauchello.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Orleans artist friend<\/a> and we are often looking for exceptional food places. Being from NOLA, we are hard food critics when it comes to restaurants, especially those that claim to have a New Orleans repertoire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Warehouse_2451_AIE.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7227\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Warehouse_2451_AIE.jpg\" alt=\"Warehouse restaurant caricatures 1 on Art is Everywhere\" width=\"475\" height=\"356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Warehouse_2451_AIE.jpg 475w, https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Warehouse_2451_AIE-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Warehouse_2451_AIE-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/a>I hadn&#8217;t been to the Warehouse in over 10 years. I had forgotten how much it reminds me of New Orleans but even more interestingly, the walls are lines with caricatures of notable patrons. Next time, I bet they&#8217;ll simply have simple syrup. This New Orleans-adopted,\u00a0 Kentucky-classic drink can&#8217;t be made without it. Afterall, why would we all be sippin&#8217; it on our verandas in the South, otherwise&#8230; \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7226\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7226\"
