If accepted it will be the longest mural in the world. This would not be a graffiti-style mural but wouldn&#8217;t guarantee against being tagged. Nothing is for that matter. Although, having painted public murals, Golden makes a top coat, anti-graffiti sealant (<a title=\"Golden anti-graffiti MSA varnish\" href=\"http:\/\/www.goldenpaints.com\/technicaldata\/archvarn.php\" target=\"_blank\">MSA<\/a>) that protects the mural with an isolation coat. If it is tagged, the top coat can be removed without damaging the mural below the isolation coat. I&#8217;ve used this as an extra protective measure, just in case. So far, I&#8217;ve been lucky with my outdoor, public murals.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal would be for 65 artists to take a section and paint their idea of New Orleans as their version of home or rebuilding it. With different artistic styles, this could appear very disjointed; although, I like the idea as a whole. Incidentally a college classmate of mine, discovered them when he started his fledgling music recording business, Mammoth records, which grew into a major contender in the music industry and he consequently sold to Walt Disney. Now he&#8217;s a millionaire and president of <a title=\"Jay Faires biography\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0265554\/bio\" target=\"_blank\">Music at Lionsgate<\/a>. In celebration of the 20th year of Mammoth Records, there will be an essential music collection issued this year through iTunes. It&#8217;s gotta have some great 80&#8217;s music. Jay always found the best, Los Lobos and others no one had heard of at the time to play at University events.\u00a0 And, he&#8217;s giving back to <a title=\"Graham Executive in Residence The University of the South\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sewanee.edu\/cgc\/executive\" target=\"_blank\">Sewanee<\/a> on the board of trustees and contributing to pre-business courses.
