A new ongoing performance art project has started for the people of UK called One & Other<\/a>, where everyday until October 14th participants can submit photos as living portraits that will occupy the vacant Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square in London. If your submission is drawn, you’ll also gain a performance spot on the Plinth. This pedestal has been reserved for statues of kings and generals but it is currently empty — unless you want to fill with your own creation. This is an interactive artistic experiment led by sculpture Antony Gormley.<\/a><\/p>\n

I’m not sure how truly artistic this is, except that it’s an open mike for being creative and and part of a collective interaction that changes daily. Interesting concept.<\/p>\n

I like the fact that my son told me about this. You never know where or through what connections you’ll find artistic endeavors.<\/p>\n

I also like that one of the sponsors is Artichoke, which happens to be a new design that I just painted for casart coverings. Check it out a forthcoming preview here at Slipcovers for Your Walls blog<\/a>. It will be officially unveiled and offered as a product on our website in the fall.<\/p>\n

Since my son Jackson likes photography, I’m posting these series of “wild” photos from different angles called, Head On, by cai guo-guiang,<\/a> in his honor.<\/p>\n
