I had wanted to take many pictures of murals that I remember but no time. Instead, I&#8217;ll post a few entries that depict just a few of the many examples of art in New Orleans.<\/p>\n<p>Traveling down St. Charles Avenue at night, you can&#8217;t help but notice the multicolored beacon of changing colored lights illuminating the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotellecirqueneworleans.com\/index.html\" title=\"Hotel LeCirque\" target=\"_blank\">Hotel LeCirque<\/a> as you approach Lee Circle. It&#8217;s an artistic light show extraordinaire.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/hotel-lecirquelights.gif\" title=\"Light Show at Hotel LeCirque in New Orleans\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ashley-spencer.com\/ArtIsEverywhere\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/hotel-lecirquelights.gif\" alt=\"Light Show at Hotel LeCirque in New Orleans\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is an attention grabber because it&#8217;s mesmerizing to watch how the colors of the lights slowly feed into the next &#8212; much slower than this fast changing photo would suggest.<\/p>\n<p>We have a bar here in Alexandria, VA &#8212; The Trademark and the Jamieson Grille at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.starwoodhotels.com\/westin\/property\/overview\/index.html?propertyID=1718&amp;EM=VTY_WI_alexandria_1718_overview\" title=\"Westin Hotel, Alexandria, VA\" target=\"_blank\">Westin Hotel<\/a> that does something similar with florescent lighting that changes around the top of the bar &#8212; makes drinking your cocktail all the more fun. This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cannesfringe.com\/2008\/03\/09\/labau-lights-up-the-city\/\" title=\"Cannes Fringe -- Labau Lights up city\" target=\"_blank\">Cannes Fringe<\/a> story about LAB[au] explains how their light shows can be interactive and &#8220;viewer operated,&#8221; so to speak.  Pretty fascinating public art!
