Light on Rosslyn

Here’s an conceptual rendering of what the public art display, Corridor of Light by Cliff Garten, will look like, once the project gets fully funded. The glowing light sculptures, remind me of floating jellyfish. They are actually kinda cool, in that they will be 21 feet high and have changing colors to fit the seasons. It is intended to bring some identity to Rosslyn, VA.

Something similar (changing light sculptures) already exists in Alexandria at the PTO (Patent & Trade Office) and entrance to the Carlyle development. However, these are stationary and the ones proposed for Rosslyn appear to be projected light images.

Happy New Year’s Eve!

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
