Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Mural

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was painted in this mural at the onset of the tragedy.

Onlookers pay their respect.

Malaysia1 on Art Is Everywhere
Mural painted by Filipino artists from the Guhit Visual Arts Group in the Philipines

The mural after the announcement that the plane most likely crashed and all aboard were lost at sea.

Notice the people are gone but the children are still enjoying the mural and have incorporated it into their play time.

Malaysia2 on Art Is Everywhere

The mural serves an important purpose to commemorate those lives lost

and the hope springs eternal to be able to move past this terrible tragedy.

PS: Sorry, this was supposed to run last week but for reasons I still cannot explain, it missed it’s scheduled time.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
