Life is hard. I know that’s an understatement, particularly for those who have suffered loss. This is why I am always amazed at people’s resilience to make something beautiful from some sense of destruction, turning their grief into hope. The Pentagon Memorial is this very kind of extraordinary art. It is a very moving tribute to those who lost their lives in DC on that horrible September 11th morning in 2001.
