Old Artwork

This is an old painting I did of my yard in New Orleans. Since I live in a townhouse now with no side light, it’s my version of a kitchen window, placed over the sink. It brings back fond memories and I’d never want to change it, but it has inspired me to paint another image from my Maine trip this summer and back it to a real salvaged window. I have done several of these portable murals for clients but here is one sample on my website (scroll down to the bottom of the page). Now, I’m inspired to do one for myself so tune in for a future posting.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
