Optical Illusions

I loved this post from the Crooked Brains Blog regarding illusions. What a creative way to take pictures. I thought it fitting after September 11th to post this picture, originally by Michael Hughes in 1999 of the Twin Towers as depicted in a postcard that is transposed over what is no longer there — before they collapsed.

Check out the art archives for more interesting photos that will wow you — especially that cork mural. NOW I know what to do with all those corks that I’ve been saving.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
