September Exhibits +

Here’s a list of September into fall exhibits. As I’m getting down to the wire on introducing my new product line, I hope I’ll have time to visit most of them. They bring a lot of inspiration.

1) Last chance — Blue at the Textile Museum through September 18th.

2) The Alexandria Festival of the Arts is September 13 – 14.

The festival really does look like this photo that I found at Alexandria Daily Photo, where Marie McC has captured a year’s worth of pictures in a video that accurately portrays Alexandria, VA and Old Town.

Also the Twig’s Historic Alexandria Homes Tour will be worthwhile seeing on September 27th.

3) Black Box: Semiconductor at the Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, August 25 -December 14.

See my previous posts on Science & Art.

The short film Magnetic Movie will be featured about invisible magnetic field mad by Ruth Jarman and Joseph Gerhardt while at the NASA Space Science Laboratories.

Well, this reminds me of Gjon Mili’s famous photographic portrait of Picasso drawing a bull with light:

…And most recently, of Stephen Alvarez’s exceptional photos posted on his blog.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
