Forest Through the Trees

In my search for this Airbus print ad below, which sums up visually the sense that I can finally start to see the forest through the trees, I came across these short films for Airbus:

I love their creative, pop-up quality, which reminds me of one of the reasons I also like Pushing Daisies. I also love looking up through the trees to the sky. It makes you find your humble place. This ad is beautiful with the fall colors against that brilliant blue vista (and jet silhouette).

After a rough year, a really rough week and a two month delay in launching my new product-line business, we’re almost there — and then the economy tanks and the holidays hit us. Bad timing but we have things in place and should have our website, finally, up and running very soon. I really do not like relying on others to do essential things; however, that’s part of business, especially when I don’t have the technological know-how. I’m learning a whole new language in computer-speak.

Fortunately we can make the official announcement after Thanksgiving but will probably have to relaunch at the first of the year just to get past this crunch. The positive thing, is we’ll have more time to get our national press kits together work out any potential kinks.

Because I’m running short on time and coordinating with my friend and have family coming in town, there will only be two posts this week. I’ll post again at least once next week but should be back up and running to normal after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Have a great upcoming weekend!

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
