Imagine Coney Island

This is perfect for a visionary but wacky week. I found this cool link of possible revitalization photos of Coney Island, the famous adventure-land, amusement park in Brooklyn, NY, from Curbed, which linked me to ImagineConey. Here is where there have be over 250 ideas submitted to architects, engineers, amusement designers and creative producers as they plan for Coney Island’s future. The public exhibit was recently on view through March 12th, but this web link has many background sources through the Municipal Arts Society (MAS), and you can still submit your ideas! It’s interesting to me to see the public’s interactive involvement in this creative process.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
