Outdoors in Architecture

Bringing the outdoors in I think would create a great work environment because you’d never feel couped up inside. Here’s an example of the Selgas Cano Architecture Office in Spain as seen on Arch Daily.

I like how the color delineates the interior space as to what is open and what is covered space. Very clever use of design. This is an interesting dichotomy coming back from Sewanee where everything is all about the outdoors. This architecture seems to combine the best of both worlds, albeit in a very modern way.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
