Update on Loving Vincent

The Loving Vincent film project that I previously blogged about has now been successfully funded and the donors are receiving updates. I thought you might want to know about some of these and will periodically give updates on the progress for this animated film using reproductions of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting.

Prepairing for painters' training on Art Is Everywhere

The founder of the project, Hugh Welchman, has been keeping all the patrons posted through their Kickstarter campaign with videos. In this particular one, he informs us that March 17th is not only St. Patrick’s Day but is also a very important day in 1901 in which Vincent Van Gogh became the famous painter he is known as today.

It took 11 years, many years after he and his brother, Theo’s death. for an exhibition of Vincent’s paintings to be assembled in Paris. When it opened, Vincent became an overnight sensation.

Hugh also lets us know that the training for 30 – 50 painters for this project is now underway.

I'm an artist, wife and mother of two boys. I started my illustration business, The Occasional Palette over 35 years ago, when my oldest son was an infant. Once my children were in school, I began painting decorative, faux finishes and murals through my second business, Casart, now over 30 years old. My third business, Casart Coverings, is a springboard from my second.
