    Everyday Photos?

    These images are of things I see everyday but here, they are captured in an unusual, artistic way. If I or you had taken these photos they might be composed differently because art is viewed in the mind’s eye with individual perspective. These were taken by my teenage son Jackson who has quite an eye and talent for photography. The potential for art is everywhere and everyday. He continues to inspire me.

    Think Outside of the Airport!

    When I first saw this image in the Washington Post, I thought these were modern-day, Egyptian Hieroglyphs, but no, they are the architectural diagrams of airport terminals. This is something I have seen but take for granted every time I fly. However, I thought this was so creative to recognize that these airport silhouettes could be conceived as artistic designs. Charles Cohan, a printmaker and art professor in Hawaii, who travels quite a bit, noticed these shapes in the back of many airline magazines. He’s collected 62 and has made 90 plates.     Stamps

    In order to update my client files, I’ve recently sent out a contact mailer with a hard copy of my January Casart eNewsletter to request a review of current information as well as email addresses. When I went to the post office to get stamps, they were out of the regular flag rolls, which I like to get out of convenience sake. Luckily, they had the Tiffany, stained-glass mural stamp, which not only coordinated with the theme but with the colors of the newsletter/mailer. This got me thinking that perhaps I should consider a custom stamp featuring one of my murals for future mailings. I just found this at PhotoStamps.com.…
