I used to watch the Super Bowl just for the ads, but not this year. I was watching for the Saints. Although I thought the the Bud Light ads had the overall ad title hands down; I liked the parody on Lost and the book group; I think the Green Police for Audi was a winner. Walt Disney at NOMA
With the Saints in the news and now going to the Superbowl, all posts this week will just have to be about New Orleans in some way or another. Hey, not hard for me (previous posts on New Orleans). The New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) is featuring an exhibit of conceptual art from Walt Disney’s animated films called,“Dreams Come True: Art of the Classic Fairy Tales from the Walt Disney Studio.” It includes 600 sketches and animation stills from select films dating back more than seven decades. HDR Photography
I didn’t know much about High Dynamic Range type of photography and was glad to learn through the picture links below. The surrealistic, hyper saturation of color may not be for everyone but I’m pretty fascinated how a photo can look more like an illustration with this method. What first alerted me to HDR was this article about Joe DeGregorio’s photos. I really did think this was an illustration. Since I’m into trompe l’oeil art, I get a kick out of when I get tromped…..
