Life Lived Well with Symbolism
There is an art to living life well and my friend Nathaniel Chapman did this as “force of nature” living almost larger than life itself. He had many talents but kept his cards close to his chest with regard to his work. He had to because as I told his girls he was a soldier in many ways, working behind the scenes. The celebration of his life was very moving on Sunday and now the hard part begins for his family. Finally found it
I finally found the information regarding one of the many artists at the National Harbor. Cheryl Foster created the cut glass mural panels, Maryland’s Bounty, along the steps that lead down to the Awakening sculpture. This is a very inspirational video that I found on Roadtrip Nation: Discovering Your Path in Life/webpage. Cheryl Foster describes her inspiration as an artist and how she started out on a different route. I really like her work and find her incredibly talented. Antique Books
The annual Book Festival is coming to Washington, DC this weekend on the Mall and I thought this photo was very appealing. I’ve always like the look of worn, antique books, as well as reading them. Their covers and colors remind me of certain decorative finishes, like faux rust or copper. Yeah, the weekend is here, but more work to do is ahead. Have a great one!
