Koons and Car Art & Gulf Coast Aid
Before I get back to murals, a quick interjection with BMW’s new art car by Jeff Koons. Some of his stuff is so wacky that I didn’t know what to think when I first saw the heads up about this some time ago but I like it. It’s rather understated in comparison to his other work. Maybe that ‘s why I like it. Most of the photos and videos I saw are from Freshness mag.com but there’s a whole host of postings out there, like from the autoblog.com and carbodydesign.com. Murals from Around the World
I have a backlog of murals to post, so I’m starting with this overview from Creative Cloud blog, which shows 50 Most Stunning Murals from Around the World. I’ve just pulled a few here that I liked for display. These two I just came upon, a Keith Haring Mural that is deteriorating in Melbourne, Australia: Here’s a controversial Dostoevsky mural in the Moscow Metro:
William Cochran
I took a workshop class with William Cochran last Thursday through my CADA (Capital Area Decorative Artisans) group, as sub-chapter of IDAL (International Decorative Artisans League). What a wonderful opportunity and a fabulous artist.
