Antenna?
There is an art to designing an antenna — when it must function as well as be aesthetically appealing. Unfortunately, Apple’s design team neglected the function over form. Apparently, the antenna of the new iPhone 4, which has sold over 1.7 million units, has problems with reception due to the antenna design. Because it wraps around the device in order to be unobtrusive, it requires the correct hand hold to make the connection. So, if you’re left handed, sorry. Ice, Ice Baby & Balloon me
These are just a few fun and interesting, newsworthy things worth mentioning. The National Harbor is celebrating the holidays with Christmas on the Potomac with Ice, quite literally. Click here to review the details and link to the video of this winter wonderland, made entirely of ice, complete with an ice slide. It was written up in the Washington Post as well. Not as elaborate as other ice sculpture posts that I’ve written about, and although a bit cheesy, it could be fun. We’re getting ready to head to the beach. I’ll be taking work along, unfortunately, as I had a hard drive crash and have to reformat all our new images for casart coverings, coming out this fall. Fortunately I’m almost done. Hey, I’m wondering if anyone else out there got the Shankar, Happy Birthday virus timed to go off on July 25th — his birthday? It’s an old one but attached itself to my Word documents on my Mac and they became corrupted when I got an infected virus from my former marketing folks’ attachments. Fortunately, I have a Mac so even though it was a pain, it was easily fixed.…
