Computer as an art tool
I’m not a computer artist and I’ll never be one. I’m a traditionalist but I’m realizing that the computer can be a lifesaving art tool. I have learned and I’m still learning that it has become invaluable to the concept of casart coverings, in using my original artwork to be able to reproduce it in many different colors and custom combinations for digital printing. I am learning so much about Photoshop that my brain hurts. I’m getting a mental workout each day dealing with the challenges of color correction and the importance of keeping the integrity of the original, which fortunately, I am pleased that I am able to do.…
Library of Congress
Surviving Inauguration, as my city virtually shut down and as we move forward with a new President, I thought it might be worthwhile to post about some of the buildings near the site of this event, particularly the Library of Congress, the “largest repository” and safeguarding keeper of our literary and many artistic works of wisdom and expression. We had a friend visiting from California for work and for the Inauguration, so we took our own long neglected trip (as local residents) into the city over the weekend (before the crowds arrived) to tour the Congressional Buildings, Capitol and Library of Congress. We have officially launched! It’s been nerve-wracking to finally get here but despite the butterflies in our stomachs we’re flying…My new product-line company, casart coverings, LLC is a partnership with my mother, Lorre Lei Jackson in New Orleans and my sister, Lindsey Wood in Denver. We have the regional parts of the nation covered, but we’re an Internet based business so we can reach the global network as well.
