    Inspiration for Creative Process in the New Year

    The New Year always has new potential. In many ways, it offers you an opportunity to start off on a clean slate so here are some inspirational ideas for filling your mind with creative ideas, as discovered on Feeling Fuzzy, The Creative Process Explained and through Rory O’Sullivan and Simon Bruyn’ video called, Rethink Scholarship at Langara.     Text art or in this case, micrography, as I discovered on gawno.com, is art form created by words, which have been combined in such a way to form representational, figurative art. According to Wikipedia micrography literally means “small writing” and it was a Jewish art developed in the 9th century using small letters to form geometric or representational shapes and figures. Here are just a few featured from various sources, including advertisements on gawno.com, which has fantastic examples.     Brooke Duckart

    While searching for artists to hire for the marketing firm representing Effen Vodka, this past year, I found many talented artists. Some of them were located in Milwaulkee, where a couple of the events were to occur. I was immediately enchanted with Brooke Duckart’s artwork, particularly her scratchboard pieces. I found her through her Flickr site. Unfortunately she was in the middle of her own deadlines and was unable to participate at the time.
