    Here are some photos that my husband took at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (also known as COP, Conference of Parties) in Poznan, Poland. This town turned out to be very artsy. A “Christo-like” public-art commentary using figurines to suggest those affected by climate change. Among the contemporary artwork, Poznan maintains its Old World environment and charm. Architecture of the town square clock tower is quite stunning. Everyone comes out to see the goats but heads at the midday hour. Not sure what it all means but some fanciful mural work. I really like these door panels as a possible idea for something similar one day. Inspiration always comes…

    Ice, Cold and Blue — Blue

    Here’s a pretty blue post. This installation/sculpture called Together by Susan Meyer is based on enclosures, architecture, environments and the social structures in which we live. It reminds me of a beautiful contemporary chandelier — one I’d like to have in my home someday. Well, it’s been a week since my husband has been in Poland, attending a Global Warming Conference, therein last post… Why do they pick bitter cold places for these things, I don’t know…doesn’t support the philosophy…Anyway, I’m glad he’s returning and now I won’t be so blue. Although, blue is my favorite color. Actually, I’ve been able to get a lot and nothing done. Nothing done…

    Ice Cold and Blue — Ice

    The theme this week (not that every week has a theme, but the cold, winter-like weather has finally arrived) is “Ice Cold and Blue” — every other day featuring one of these three. This Ice Festival is an annual event in Harbin, Siberian region of Chinese Manchuria. Temperatures often do not exceed minus 40 degrees. It dates back to 1985 and many teams from around the world participate. Here are some of the incredible creations at this year’s event.
