    Happy Leap Year and weekend

    Happy Leap Year! Maybe not much of a celebration for most people but a wedding anniversary day for me to celebrate every 4 years! And what beautiful art to receive–a Frank Gehry, bone-china, sculptural vase from Tiffany’s! This is the year of the Frog (see previous post, with flying frogs on my mind).

    TV surprise 2

    I’ve been watching this silly TV series called Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and the humanoid, female machine that the main characters have befriended (actually she was sent from the future to help them), lacks emotion and other human-like qualities like a soul, but looks human and in fact, exemplifies human perfection on the outside.     TV surprise

    I wasn’t going to even write this post because it didn’t seem significant–until I saw another interesting TV surprise. I was watching the last bit of the Academy Awards (it went on longer than I thought, as usual) and I was taken with the new American Express Ad featuring Diane Von Furstenberg. Although she’s not necessarily one of my favorite fashion designers, I was intrigued with the content of the 30 second spot. It was all about what I’m discussing here–the process of creating art.
