The big fall unveilling
It’s the first full week of October. Where did September go? I think the days came and went without much notice, due to many all-nighters trying to unveil our new line of products. We’ll we’ve done it. We will be sending out our updated eNewsletter regarding our latest news. We also sent out our press release last month and had many interested responses and we were featured in the Times Picayune’s InsideOut Edition about wallpaper. Coincidentally, another article ran in the same issue regarding “Personal Space” in which my mother had sent in her bedroom renovation as an example of how to personalize a space after my father passed away…

Being Connected
Being connected to others strengthens your energy and creativity to produce art. 9-11 is a hallowed day to remember that the connections to others are vital….Let’s not forget. Here’s a quote I like: “Contrary to how we’ve been taught to value independence and autonomy, this new scientific evidence is showing that we are at our best when we are connected with others. When we apply these findings to the secret, internal world of the artist, we see that the capacity to be creative is actually generated by the experience of connectedness with others.” (from Empty Easel). Shepard Fairey’s Creative Process
I’ve been following Shepard Fairey’s copyright battle since I last posted and I think it was good to set a precedent, as it protects artists, including photographer’s work from being used without credit. I was unaware however about how involved his creative process is and this video from DoobeyBrain blog shows the details he uses to create his artwork. I thought this was very revealing to see and gave me a better appreciation for his work. Since the music is “Everybody’s Down” by No Age, this will help Kick Start your Weekend.
