Looking for a one of a kind holiday dress? Although I was unfamiliar with the Weisser Glass Studio and Gallery in Kensington, MD I’m glad I know about it now. Wow, how incredible is this, Autumn Sunset Kimono by Marko & Norris?! It’s made of woven glass. Amazing. Floodwater Walls
I had posted on some similar murals near Roeblings Bridge in Madison County, KY but hadn’t seen these Jeffersonville Floodwater wall murals. They could be the same? Who knew floodwater walls could be so beautiful, as these are in Louisville, KY, and as seen on Broken Sidewalk: These are all beautifully painted. The detail is exceptional and exquisite. Here’s another view of the Roeblings Bridge Murals from Midwest Guest. My guess is they are different murals (see arches) and different locations but painted by the same mural company. Clarifications are welcome.
Geometric Spheres
I think David Trubridge’s designs of spheres, lighting fixtures and furniture are very cool. They are geometrically modern and functional sculptures that refer to themes of nature. I’ve seen his work in Design Within Reach but ran across this in depth article regarding his creative process on Seeds and Fruit blog, which I found very informative. I see a raindrop in this one: I could use this Dondola rocking lounger this week, but there is no time to rest, unfortunately. I’m back on site work today.
