Back to School & Mysterious Eyes
Coming back from dropping off our younger son at his school, we saw these pretty cool, googly eyes starring at us from across the Worlds Fair Park in Knoxville, TN. They are affixed to the Knoxville Museum of Art, with their motto, “Open your eyes. Open your mind.” How true. I actually liked how these eyes appeared watchful over the park. They didn’t seem eerie just artistic, but they did seem to follow us…We had another great stay in Knoxville on our way home from Sewanee, TN. Sand Art Reflection
Although we missed the annual The New England Sand Art Contest, which ended on July 20, we just returned from a beach trip visiting my in-laws in Rhode Island. These photos and story in the Boston Globe provide some beach fun reflection, even though our sand “castles” were lame in comparison. Traveling in Style
Is there an art to traveling? There seems to be with these mentions regarding “The Fine Art Yacht,” a new style of camper and wedding buses in India. My oldest son was working at the Chart House restaurant in Alexandria, VA and saw the Expoship’s Seafair Grand Luxe, a new 228 foot yacht on the Potomac River. It is a venue for a traveling, international art exposition and there’s application kit for exhibitors. The Chart House has a great view and everyone was staring.
