Lost Mural
A quick story in the Washington Post Magazine showed Urban Murals. I was reminded that sometimes we don’t see them all. Here’s a “lost” or covered one by G. Byron Peck. Personally, I like his mural of Duke Ellington. He also has others around the DC including inside the Metro.
The Hand
The hand is versatile instrument not only for gesture, waiving goodbye for instance but also for artistic element. I was surprised to find these in my Bon Apetit magazine, which I acquired after Domino went defunct. Great magazine, by the way. We’ve already made Thai Seafood Chowder and it was excellent. I’m wondering if these hands were painted by Guido Daniele. I first found his incredible painted hand artwork on Lost at E Minor. We had to say goodbye to our marketing folks, which has been a long time coming but a necessary and stressful business decision. Time to wave goodbye, wish everyone well and move forward. Casart coverings booth
We exhibited at the New Orleans Home & Garden Show. It was our first trade show and I think successful. We learned a lot about booth preparation and did a lot of networking. We were exhausted from start to finish. It was four full days from March 26 – 29. We were glad to have been mentioned in the Times Picayune, which brought many visitors to our booth. We also had three products featured in the hot lounge, as part of “the coolest products.” We displayed a framed, faux-padded, lime harlequin that was customized with silver-stamped butterflies behind the bar, a new photographic, “carnation suspended” casart and a reduced version…
