    Finally found it

    I finally found the information regarding one of the many artists at the National Harbor. Cheryl Foster created the cut glass mural panels, Maryland’s Bounty, along the steps that lead down to the Awakening sculpture. This is a very inspirational video that I found on Roadtrip Nation: Discovering Your Path in Life/webpage. Cheryl Foster describes her inspiration as an artist and how she started out on a different route. I really like her work and find her incredibly talented.     Cyclorama

    The first cyclorama — mural in the round — that I ever saw was in Mesdag in the Hague. My good friend, Liza showed it to me and it opened my eyes to ways murals can be viewed. This one was painted by Hendrik Willem Mesdag in the 18th century. When Vincent Van Gogh saw it in 1881, he said, “Panorama Mesdag is the most beautiful sensation of my life.     Pumpkins

    We finally got our pumpkins but I hope we’ll have a chance to carve them before Halloween. Here are some excellent, “crafty” ideas for you artistes out there: 1) Enchanted Cottage shows clever photo and painted pumpkins. I thought this was an great idea if you don’t have time to carve. I might just use it this year. 2) Fantasy Pumpkins from Hallmark Magazine shows how you can really get into the decorating.
