Waterfall Art
I have posted about Olafur Eliasson before but had this song about waterfalls in my head (below) so wanted to link to it and tie in with my previous post on Falling Water. The New Your City Waterfalls are something to see if were in New York City this fall. The exhibition ended however on October 13th. I would have loved to have seen the height on this one in person. Creating Computer Snowflakes
I recently discovered where the the delight of seeing the first snow of the season can be captured on a website. You can make your own snowflakes and add them to the over 8 million that create the backdrop on the home page of SnowDays. When you mouse over each arrow, an individually designed snowflake appears with the creator’s name and location. You can respond to them if you like. Email addresses are not visible and kept confidential. You can type in any location to see the multitudes of snowflakes that were created from within that area and even print them out. Luke Jerram
I read through a lot of blog entries as a many others who surf the Internet but it’s not everyday that you’re awakened by something so different that ignites every sense as Luke Jerram’s artwork does. He is fascinated with perceptual art and has gone to great pains to explore how art can be perceived on different levels. I first learned about his work on Abduzeedo, a very cool blog in itself.
