As I mentioned I’m back from New Orleans and feeling a little homesick but trying to gear up for a lot of work ahead. My mother emailed me this video and since it’s Friday, it’s perfect to Kick Start the Weekend with it. It’s true what she has to say. “If you are from Louisiana it will make you proud. Cascade
I have to say, I was very taken with designer Michelle Brand’s Cascade design. It is made of 600 plastic bottles that have been cut and assembled to form a beautiful sculptural fountain. I love that everyday items can be recycled into art. That’s a lot of water…. I was looking for Irma Thomas’ Blackwater Blues, which I love, but ran across this John Lee Hooker classic called Tupelo, also known as Blackwater Blues. Being Connected
Being connected to others strengthens your energy and creativity to produce art. 9-11 is a hallowed day to remember that the connections to others are vital….Let’s not forget. Here’s a quote I like: “Contrary to how we’ve been taught to value independence and autonomy, this new scientific evidence is showing that we are at our best when we are connected with others.
