Social Media
Social Media is related to art for me because it is how I discover new avenues in which to write about things in my blogs, meet others, and in doing so, help promote my business. I hosted the EWES (Enterprising Women Entrepreneurs) — my business group last week. It had been rescheduled due to the snow. The fact that we had a large group despite the inconvenient travel means (the snow pile up is still limiting parking on my street) is a testament to how traditional networking is important and maybe folks were just going stir crazy being housebound. Very clever, particularly with simple things captured like the movement of Agent Becket’s hand when opening the briefcase and the pigeon pecking had me laughing, as the typical behavior of pigeons goes. Now, I’m wondering about the Washington Monument (watch the film and you’ll see what I mean). Here’s a link to the actual process of how he rendered it and other links to how he did some of the lighting and camera shots. Scary that I understand this, but don’t pretend to know how…

The surrealistic, hyper saturation of color may not be for everyone but I’m pretty fascinated how a photo can look more like an illustration with this method. What first alerted me to HDR was this article about Joe DeGregorio’s photos. I really did think this was an illustration. Since I’m into trompe l’oeil art, I get a kick out of when I get tromped….. Finally, there’s more to see on Abduzeedo, and there are a lot of tutorials out there but these two had some good fundamental info: Ultimate…
