Art in Advertising & Fingerprints
I had been looking for information regarding the Library of Congress ads that I had seen way back in May, wrapped around the pillars in the DC Metro, and I finally found it on their blog. Who knew they’d be so “with it!” I thought this was a clever use of art in advertising and a great advertising campaign. Housing Market
Who would guess you’d find art while looking at the real estate section? It’s not surprising since a lot of the art that I do is for the home, but this art is about architecture. The Slayton House is for sale in DC. It’s one of the few (only three) residential homes designed by the famous architect, I. M. Pei, back in 1958. It’s currently owned by Dan Snyder, the owner of the Redskins football team, but it can be yours for a cool $4 + million. Exhibition/Event Explosion
There is such a plethora of art exhibitions, information and events that are happening now in my area that I would like to see and be remiss in not mentioning them. I’ll try to list from when they begin and end, first to last with any links that apply: 1) Beautiful flower paintings at Anne Arundel Community College through April 23.
