Nature’s Jewelry
I like U Street, but I really like this jewelry more. I realize the trend is everything “Green” and not just the color; however, this piece is beautiful because of the color and reminds me how Nature can be so inspirational to artists. Evidently the lotus flower symbolizes rebirth and resurrection. Everyday Photos?
These images are of things I see everyday but here, they are captured in an unusual, artistic way. If I or you had taken these photos they might be composed differently because art is viewed in the mind’s eye with individual perspective. These were taken by my teenage son Jackson who has quite an eye and talent for photography. The potential for art is everywhere and everyday. He continues to inspire me.
TV surprise 2
I’ve been watching this silly TV series called Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and the humanoid, female machine that the main characters have befriended (actually she was sent from the future to help them), lacks emotion and other human-like qualities like a soul, but looks human and in fact, exemplifies human perfection on the outside. However, “Machines,” as the voice of Sara Connor says, “cannot possess faith or create art, for then they would be able to replace us.” The last scene is of the female machine practicing ballet and dancing so beautifully that she brings tears to the one of the humans, who suspects her of being a traitor to…
