Here are a few celebrity murals that I’ve been collecting. Artist Ed Capeau is pictured recently painting a mural of Marilyn Monroe in Freetown, MA. Reading backwards — this is the first story that ran about this ongoing mural project: The response was so positive that Capeau decided to paint Monroe next to Einstein. Normally I find music to go along with my posts for the end of the week. This time, I re-discovered the music before the artwork through my son’s Facebook thread, who knew….. Van Gogh in NOLA
Van Gogh’s Café Terrace at Night [in Arles] is the first of his paintings that pops up in an image search. Does that mean it’s popular? I think so but other paintings of his are more well known. When you think of Van Gogh, you think of works like: Starry Night, Sunflowers, Almond Tree Branches, Black Crows in Wheatfield and many, many others. He was quite a prolific painter.
