Creating Computer Snowflakes
I recently discovered where the the delight of seeing the first snow of the season can be captured on a website. You can make your own snowflakes and add them to the over 8 million that create the backdrop on the home page of SnowDays. When you mouse over each arrow, an individually designed snowflake appears with the creator’s name and location. You can respond to them if you like. Email addresses are not visible and kept confidential. You can type in any location to see the multitudes of snowflakes that were created from within that area and even print them out. Visual Acoustics
Visual Acoustics is a new film documentary about the modern architectural photography of Julius Shulman, who died this past summer at age 98. This appears top be an engaging film with the backdrop of the Los Angeles culture, featuring Richard Neutra and Pierre Koenig’s architecture among other connections as Rudolf Schindler, Frank Lloyd Wright, Ed Ruscha, Tom Ford, Frank Gehry and narrated by Dustin Hoffman. Drawing on Tools for Art vs Design
Although computer technology has completely transformed aspects of my business, with digital manipulation of hand painted artwork and designs, I am cognizant that the roots of what I create falls to creativity and hand applied method of drawing and painting. Drawing to me is fundamental to artistic expression.
