Murals Made with Unusual Materials
Painted Euros, nails, toothpicks, corks and incredible mosaics are all unusual materials used by artists to create murals. Although not actual painted Euros but the imagery of painted Euros creates this shark mural by Blu in Barcelona as seen on Colectiva’s Daily Blog. Saimir Strati creates murals with nails, toothpicks and corks — all sorts of everyday materials. Here’s one as seen on Eller G’s blog of Leonardo. Roeblings Bridge Murals
Since we’re driving back from Danville, KY this week, this was an appropriate post that I came across on these wonderful murals painted by the Robert Dafford Company on the flood walls next to the Roeblings Suspension Bridge in Covington, KY .
Lost Mural
A quick story in the Washington Post Magazine showed Urban Murals. I was reminded that sometimes we don’t see them all. Here’s a “lost” or covered one by G. Byron Peck. Personally, I like his mural of Duke Ellington. He also has others around the DC including inside the Metro.
