    Monsters in your Mind

Since I did my incredibly long post on the basic how to’s of Internet Networking and how Social Media can benefit your business, I’ll just do add a transitional link to another interesting article. This one discusses: the computer age technology (“Big Design”); how, “the digital revolution has expanded the universe of design;” and art vs. design in Portrait of the Artist as a Young Businesswoman. Fitting since my business group is all women. Also, since I’m working overtime this week on a backlog of commissions due to the snow lag, here’s another link to a very interesting blog/ book by James Gurney, the author of Dinotopia, regarding Imaginative Realism…

    In addition…

…to Monday’s post about Snow, Snow and more Snow, here are a few pictures that my Venetian cousins sent of Venice sadly under water but beautiful with a dusting of snow. There’s lots of snow going around. A music link to Patricia Snyder’s Snowbound to Kick Start Your Weekend, as we’ll be digging out: http://patriciasnydermusic.com/audio/snyder-snowbound-02.mp3 I don’t know about you, but I’d rather be skiing during this blizzard: Here’s an art opportunity that I wanted to mention before it’s too late. The City of Seattle is looking for artists to paint murals on 46th Street. Click on this Fremont Universe link for details. Applications are due by February 19th.

    The Good Life

Feeling a little nostalgic when I ran across this, I think this is a nice compilation of classic entertainment scenes to the music, The Good Life by Tony Bennett but also sung by Frank Sinatra. However I don’t think it is either of these singing this version. If you want a more bluesy, modern version to Kick-Start Your Weekend I’d go with Love and Happiness, originally by Al Green but sung here by Marc Broussard. Home, is my favorite of his songs. He’s an incredibly soulful singer and really kicks it out toward the end of this.
