Artistry in the High School Graduation Delivery
I just returned from my younger son’s high school graduation. It was a bit stressful and emotional but I was pleasantly surprised in how seriously touching the event was among the teachers and kids. This all came by the heartfelt delivery from teachers and students and participants in this right-of-passage ceremony. The first event, The Angies’s was a roast that the teachers give to each of the Senior students. The teachers sing, dance and read poetry to their advisees. C-ville
We took a trek to Charlottesville, VA to visit our son Piers, who as president of his fraternity at UVA and was hosting parents during an Open House. We arrived just in time to hear him give his speech. He did a great job with a commanding performance. I was very proud of him for what he has already accomplished. I’m starting to see him as the adult he is and it’s a fulfilling moment in a parent’s life. It brings a whole other dynamic to the relationship. Copenhagen
I’m just now getting a chance to post pictures from my husband’s trip to Copenhagen for the COP15 conference. You’ll see from many of them, except for the inside of the Global Warming Climate Conference, how bitter cold it was outside. His hotel was right near Tivoli, the famous amusement park and gardens: Evidently, eating hot nuts, often found on street stands, is the thing to do in Denmark. Luckily he was able to take an excursion to Helsinger, which is where Kronborg castle also known as Hamlet’s castle, Elsinor, is located. I like how dramatic yet sparsely decorated the interiors are.
