Copenhagen
I’m just now getting a chance to post pictures from my husband’s trip to Copenhagen for the COP15 conference. You’ll see from many of them, except for the inside of the Global Warming Climate Conference, how bitter cold it was outside. His hotel was right near Tivoli, the famous amusement park and gardens: Evidently, eating hot nuts, often found on street stands, is the thing to do in Denmark. Luckily he was able to take an excursion to Helsinger, which is where Kronborg castle also known as Hamlet’s castle, Elsinor, is located. I like how dramatic yet sparsely decorated the interiors are. Blizzard
The blizzard of 2009 took us by surprise — before winter even officially began. Here’s a follow up to my previous Christmas post with pictures with all the snow, and what to do with it. And my older son, Piers, with his college-age buddies built a snow monster to rival the neighbor’s snowman across the street. Nice to know they’re not too old for this.

Merry Christmas! Here’s an appropriate video that hopefully will bring laughter and joy in the spirit of the season and Kick Start your weekend. Surprisingly, my husband was able to make it back from Copenhagen. I later learned that they were only allowing international flights to land. My older son will be back by the time of this post and fortunately we’ll have our family together for Christmas. That’s a very good gift right there.
