I have to give kudos to T. Rowe Price for their latest TV commercials using ink and rice. They were both created by JWT New York Agency and the production company is Psyop (shown here, via AdFreakThree’s YouTube postings: I think these ads are fantastic — very artistic with innovative animation. I am always mesmerized when I see them, almost as an everyday occurrence on TV. Also check out glossy’s ad blog and their portfolio, including their promotional work for Radiohead in their video, House of Cards. Model Snowflakes and Hints of Spring
Last week we had a snow dumping, mild in comparison to other areas of the country but the biggest 9″ – 12″ inches we’ve seen in many winters. Had it been sledable it would have been very fun. However, I was working. Coincidentally, a story ran in the Post about how snowflakes can be originated by mathematically designed computer models at The Universities of Wisconsin at Madison and California. iWallflower & Technical Art
Now I’m not sure I’ll participate in this new technological venture, but iWallflower, does propose a new intriguing, artistic, networking opportunity, created by iCloseby. This new app or iPod application allows one to draw in real time and submit for greater viewing and voting. The app provides constant streaming of new drawings that are continuously being submitted. These drawings resemble what one might draw on a steamed mirror in the bathroom or like my previous post on a dirty car windshield. As rudimentary as these can appear, vector art is highly precise and can create photo realistic art that can be digitally manipulated as animation, print or other media. Here…
