    Berlin Wall Murals

    This is a week late of the 20 year fall of the Berlin Wall Anniversary but still worthy of a look. Many artists helped to refurbish the murals just in time for the anniversary. You can read more of the details here on Stars & Stripes. Another interesting read on Bowl of Serial shows visuals of the many murals depicted on the wall.     Jeffersonian Pavilion

    I learned a little about one of my son’s school this weekend in the Real Estate section of the Washington Post when one of the Jeffersonian Pavilions on the main campus of University of Virginia was featured. Larry Sabato lives in this stately pavilion and was awarded these living quarters due to his academic tenure. He is the Robert Kent Gooch Professor of Politics and director of the university’s Center for Politics.     Hydropolis

    Since I’m cutting my beach trip short and still longing for a little extra time, I thought I’d post about a modern day Atlantis. I recently read about the world’s first underwater hotel, Hydropolis on Lost at E Minor blog. It is due to open to the public later this year in 2009, in Dubai, of course.
