5th Year Anniversary
Katrina is not something that I want to remember but it is worth noting that August 29 and the surreal weeks that followed mark the 5th anniversary of “The Storm” that flooded New Orleans. For this year’s anniversary, I thought I’d post fitting artwork by the British Street artist Bansky, who’s mural work just happens to be stenciled on the side of building located on the corner of North Rampart and Kerlerec Streets in New Orleans. The Big Draw
This post started with an old story that I had saved regarding Coloring Outside the Curriculum from the Washington Post and I thought it would be timely to post since my husband and I just made that long, arduous 22 hour, round-trip drive to Sewanee again to drop our youngest son, Jackson, at school — this time college.
