Following up from the post on Eddie Ross’ booths at the New Orleans Home & Garden Show (NOHGS), are other interior designer booths. The title of the show was “Design Your Life” and it had an interior design focus. We were lucky that our booth was directly across from the following designer booths. The description for each room is from the NOHGS Guide, supplied by the designers, and in the order in which they were listed. I’ve linked the designers to where they have websites. Although Chet Pourciau was the lead designer, we met designers Deniz Berkol, Britta Levine, and Beth Stringer — all very nice and good booth companions…

Interior design is where art and design coincide. Interior decorators and designers need to have an artistic eye and the know-how in order to construct a room in a pleasing, practical and livable way. Designer, Eddie Ross‘ tablescapes in his Sitting Room and Dining Room at the New Orleans Home and Garden Show displayed such talent. He collected thrift shop finds and other purchases from various New Orleans locations, such as one of my favorite places, Perch (on Magazine) and had about one day to assemble it all. Casart coverings booth
We exhibited at the New Orleans Home & Garden Show. It was our first trade show and I think successful. We learned a lot about booth preparation and did a lot of networking. We were exhausted from start to finish. It was four full days from March 26 – 29. We were glad to have been mentioned in the Times Picayune, which brought many visitors to our booth. We also had three products featured in the hot lounge, as part of “the coolest products.” We displayed a framed, faux-padded, lime harlequin that was customized with silver-stamped butterflies behind the bar, a new photographic, “carnation suspended” casart and a reduced version…
