Mexican Saddles
The exhibit Art en la Charreria: The Artisanship of the Mexican Equestrian Culture shows incredibly ornate and intricate design work in these Mexican saddles — exquisite detailing and fine craftsmanship of tooling leather, spurs and ironwork — all attire of the Mexican cowboys in the early 20th century. This also reminds me and parallels the exhibit that my husband and I just recently saw at the National Gallery of Art on Spanish armory, The Art of Power, Royal Armor and the Portraits of Imperial Spain.

Being connected to others strengthens your energy and creativity to produce art. 9-11 is a hallowed day to remember that the connections to others are vital….Let’s not forget. Symmetry in a Thousand Hands
The coordination and tight symmetry in this performance of The Thousand-Hand Guan Yin is truly stunning to watch. Beautiful performance art. I wonder if those pointed apparatuses on their fingers are sharp? This came in an email to me and it’s worth sharing: There is an awesome dance, called the Thousand-Hand Guan Yin, which is making the rounds across the net. Considering the tight coordination required, their accomplishment is nothing short of amazing, even if they were not all deaf. Yes, you read correctly. All 21 of the dancers are complete deaf-mutes.
