Slipcovers for Your Walls
This past electronic art exhibit (below), in its ability to demonstrate the ocean bed through electronic dots, reminds me of a beachy Slipcovers for Your Walls blog post today. This is a new blog that I’ve started for casart coverings along with the casart crew — solely related to ways to use casart™ and interior design. Lexington
I am sure there is a lot of art in Lexington, but we were only there briefly and passing through to really discover it and take it in. However, I really like this blue horse painting on the cover of the Lexington, KY Visitor Planning Guide 2009. And these horse sculptures greeted us as we entered the city. On the drive to Danville, we went by our son Jackson’s friend’s house — very cool, edgy and artsy. You’d never know it was a residence from the outside. Convergence
Wow! All I can say is that lecture last Friday by David Stork was phenomenal! I learned so much about the convergence of art and science to prove non-optical methods of master artists. He debunked Hockney’s theory that great painters from the 1430’s on “cheated” by tracing optical reflections in their paintings. I didn’t know how the lecture was going to go. I was happy that I made the 120 person cut by about 30 people in the double line. The room was filled and curators sat directly behind me saying, “This guy is a rock star.” They weren’t sure how it was going to go either. I was introduced…
