Well I’ve been trying to make up for lost time, not by choice. I worked straight from 7am to 12:30am yesterday, going to Fedex/Kinkos three times to get our banner printed, packaged and sent all our casart samples via ground to save cost and picked up the banner, prepared and hand delivered a proposal to a client by 8pm and then prepared a purchase order to be emailed to our printer before just collapsing. 20 year Tribute
This is a hard post to write, especially before the fact, so I couldn’t do it last night. I am trying to emotionally prepare myself for having to put our 20 year old cat, Dolce, to sleep. Dante, our 13 year old cat, died around this time last year on his own at home, but it was painful. I thought Dolce would go before him, but after throwing an embolism at the vets just from getting a urine sample last week, I brought her home and she perked up and even walked down and up the basement stairs. Friday the 13th has traditionally not been good for me but the weekend is almost here and a little good music is in order. I am always eager to promote artists who have New Orleans influences. Although Theresa Andersson is from Sweden originally, she arrived in New Orleans at 18 and claims it as her adopted hometown. She was playing at Jammin’ Java in Vienna, VA last Saturday but as one son was leaving to go back to college from his spring break and another due to arrive, plus I was nursing the flu, I didn’t get to see her performance.
